SB-1463 Internet gambling

California Senate Bill 1463 is the latest effort to allow for an intrastate online poker in the State of California. Introduced on February 24, 2012 by State Senators Rod Wright and Darrell Steinberg, this bill is similar to the one introduced in 2010 by Wright, which was known as SB 45.

AB 2026: Income taxes: credits: film: extension.

The Personal Income Tax Law and the Corporation Tax Law authorize various credits against the taxes imposed by those laws, including a credit against those taxes for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2011, in an amount equal to a specified percentage of the qualified expenditures, as defined, attributable to the production of a qualified motion picture in California, or, where the qualified motion picture has relocated to California or is an independent film, as provided.

The California Budget - AB 1463

The importance of our state’s budget to both our overall growth and operations can best be expressed as follows: During California’s two year 2011-12 legislative session, our legislators introduced over 800 bills dealing with our lopsided budget. As a rule, two bills are selected each year to be the main bills that carry the budget language. One is from the Senate and one for the Assembly. This year, the lead bill is AB 1463 (Blumenfield). In total, there were 41 budget bills (1004-1043) introduced in the Senate, while the Assembly had 35 (AB 1464 – 1499).
